Miami, FL – Tabacalera Perdomo is proud and excited to release the new and highly anticipated Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 cigar line. The Perdomo Grand Cru is meticulously handcrafted with Cuban- seed filler and binder leaves grown exclusively by the Perdomo family.

These exquisite tobaccos are harvested, aged, and selected as the “Grand Cru”, or the best of the best, from the Perdomo crop of 2006. Each of the new vitolas will be offered in the increasingly popular 60 ring gauge size, making the new Perdomo Grand Cru a truly impressive smoking experience.

The new Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 is comprised of all Cuban-seed Nicaraguan grown filler and binder tobaccos and is featured in three gorgeous wrappers: a Cuban-seed Sun Grown, a beautiful Ecuadorian Connecticut, and a dark, elegant Double Maduro. The Sun Grown version is a fabulous medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan “puro” with an oily reddish-brown Cuban-seed wrapper which has a core of rich earthy flavors.

The mild to medium bodied Connecticut version has a lush Ecuadorian Connecticut-shade wrapper which compliments the rich Cuban-seed binder and filler blend with a silky smooth taste and aroma. The medium to full-flavored Double Maduro version is an extremely unique Nicaraguan “puro”’ as it is blended with a dark, oily Cuban-seed Maduro wrapper, flavorful Maduro binders, and Cuban-seed Nicaraguan fillers. The Double Maduro version offers a dense smoke loaded with hints of roasted coffee and dark chocolate.

“After carefully fermenting these special Cuban-seed tobaccos from our bumper crop of 2006,
we aged these exceptional tobaccos for an additional 9 months in large Spanish cedar bins. The unique combination of these high priming fillers and binders with our elegant well-aged wrappers produces massive flavors of rich, complex Nicaraguan tobaccos,” states Nick Perdomo, Jr.

Packaged in stunning 24-count boxes, the new Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 is available in three new sizes: Grand Robusto (5 x 60) MSRP $7.00; Grand Epicure (6 x 60) MSRP $7.75; and Grand Churchill (7 x 60) MSRP $8.50 per cigar (excluding state and local taxes). “We will completely absorb the SCHIP tax on the Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 as we do on all of our other brands,” states Nick Perdomo, Jr. “We are committed to providing the very best cigars at great price points for both retailers and consumers as we continue to experience tough economic times.”
